The label jodii was created in summer 2008 and offers you a wide rage of handmade goods in timeless and colourful designs. Besides hand-embroidered patterns on cushions you find great hand-printed textiles like shopping and laundry bags, aprons, towels, tablecloths, napkins, bed linen and cushions.
The materials have first-class quality. The linen, threads and paints are all made in Germany. I am always looking for some new and better products. In some cases I also use vintage materials, especially old linen, because today you can not find this great quality anymore.
Recycling is a great way to let materials keep their history, but put them in another relation. I offer paper envelopes made of old atlases, Origami butterflys made of newspapers and industrial lamp shades with a new look. Since January 2009 I also have a small but fine collection of designed porcelain online.
Yesterday I visited Berlin for one day. We went to the Spreepark, an old, unused theme park from the former GDR. It was a cold and dark November day - very spooky...
this park is so cool. they also offer guided tours but for this year it is over. I recommend the movie "Achterbahn" (rollercoaster). It is about the owner of this park, who went to Peru to build up another park. By the way: Lovely blog!
Wow, an abandoned theme park? I'm hoping to be able to go on a short vacation in Germany sometime next year; this place is definitely on the "must see" list now! I suppose the guided tours are arranged in the summer?
jodiijodii is an almost daily updated online blog about everything handmade from Europe. It´s made for people, who want to avoid mass-produced articles. It shares new ideas, designs, trends and inspiration. Come along...spread the word. Thank you!

I am so going there the next time I'm in Berlin. It looks like the perfect mix of creepy and awesome. :)
